Neeti sastra was probably written by an equalist, the author first set an unfair set of conditions to be the ideal wife and he was equally unfair to the men.
Sorry guys you are surely not going to find any help here but, you can still read on to know what those unrealistic expectations are.
So the shloka in question goes like this :
Bhogeshu Raja , Vachaneshu Rama, Chaturasya Krishna, Dhairyeshu Karna, Roopecha Indra, Kaameshu madana Shatdharmayuktha manadharma Ramana.
Let me explain it you.
Bhogeshu Raja — just means you need to be rich.
Right! after all women are “gold diggers” so you need to be rich and you are probably half way through the task. What if you are not rich or you live pay-check to pay-check ? Marriage is not for you bro! Better save some money and go on a road trip around the world.
Vachaneshu Rama — haven’t we all learnt in pre primary “honesty is the best policy” . They expect you to be as honest as Rama the ideal everything in Hindu mythology.
But it sure doesn’t mean you can’t doubt the character of your pious wife. And you sure can kick her out of the house when she is pregnant with your child. If you know what I mean.
Chaturasya Krishna — aha don’t we already know that there were 16000+ gopiyan who were doting over this guy!!! . Obviously he wouldn’t have got them if not for his great looks and wits beyond measure. Ok lets get serious, if not for his brains – Pandavas would have surely sucked at the Mahabharata yudha. So, beat it! If you are not intelligent go away. Your life must suck to an extent anyway.
Dhairyeshu Karna — You need to be brave as Karna. Well people tend to like brave men. All those men in uniform sure do get lots of maidens drooling. But , the comparison here is a little off. You need to be brave but brave as Karna is not something that is acceptable.
This guy you call brave was the one who along with several other ” hero(s) ” attacked a boy from behind and were brave enough to fight that boy who was all alone and had nothing but a chariot wheel as a weapon. Some bit of bravery that was! ;(
Roopecha Indra — I have nothing to say about this. I don’t even have a term/word to describe how I feel about this. Women needs to look like Lakshmi ,men like Indra 😀 . Good luck with that guys.
Kaameshu madana — LOL !!! One has to be a celestial beauty and the other has to be the god of “human love and desire ” . No wonder several people around me crib about their unsatisfactory love life. Oh I so can’t stop laughing at this.
All those surveys that are available online, size matters / doesn’t matter . Technique is what is needed, oh hell its more than that. Like all the things to depress you was not out there already, some ancestor of ours thought of fcuking us up further.
